Heartbeat Quilts is a full service quilt shop located in Hyannis, Ma. on beautiful Cape Cod. Owned and operated by Helen Weinman, the store offers over 10,000 bolts of first quality cotton fabric, over 100 quilt kits, over 500 book titles, over 500 patterns, classes, quilt clubs and blocks of the month, and Quilt Camp retreat weekends at The North Conway Grand Hotel in North Conway, NH.
Heartbeat Quilts was started in 1986 and has grown over the years to fill its present location in Hyannis, 5000 square feet. It is a shop dedicated to serving our customers by providing the best in quality fabric and notions. Classes are taught by local instructors and, in addition, nationally known teachers are brought in often to enhance the class curriculum.
Heartbeat Quilts and Helen Weinman are members of The American Quilters Society, Museum of the American Quilters Society, National Quilters Society, and the New England Quilt Museum. Helen Weinman is a member of the Advisory Board of the New England Quilt Museum. Helen Weinman has also designed fabrics for Timeless Treasures Inc. "Snow Family", "Mermaid", "Phyllis B", "Seaside", "Naomi's Rose", "Cottage Charm" and "Basic Blendables". Helen also designs quilts for The Quilter Magazine, Fabric Trends magazine and McCalls Quick Quilts.
Customers are often overheard saying "This is a quilters' candy store" or "I think I've died and gone to Quilt Heaven".
The staff at Heartbeat Quilts is first rate, all dedicated to satisfying the customers' needs. Helen Weinman, the owner and founder, has been quilting for 21 years and teaching and lecturing for 20 years. Mary Hamblin, store manager, has been quilting for 19 years and has been in charge of Heartbeat Quilts for 14 years. Mary teaches at the store along with sales associate, Marjatta Gladding. Dot O'Toole, Liz Hiatt, Connie Mooers, Donna Anderson, Michaela Brown, Kay Baron, Richard Godfrey, Mary Lee Doherty, Mary Marty, Pat Green, Suzanne Adler, Nancy Beirne, Mary Collari, Justine Ashley, and Jessica Adler are sales associates who are energetic, knowledgeable and thoroughly enjoyable to work with. Sarah Cushing is our computer tech. Helen's dog, Max, an adorable Bichon Frise, will often greet you at the door!

DIRECTIONS TO HEARTBEAT QUILTS
From Sagamore Bridge: Route 6 (Mid-Cape Highway), Exit 5 (Rt 149) to stop sign. Go straight thru stop sign (ride parallel to highway on Service Rd) to Old Stage Road, turn right. Go to end (stop sign), turn left onto Race Lane/Old Stage Road. Go to 1st traffic light and turn left (Route 28). Go to 2nd traffic light and turn right onto West Main St (sign reads Hyannis Center). Go approx 2 miles to West End Rotary. Go halfway around rotary, Heartbeat Quilts is in the red brick building "Wachovia", 765 Main St., take driveway next to Hyannis Package Store to rear entrance. There is plenty of parking.
From Provincetown: Route 6 (Mid-Cape Highway), Exit 7 (Willow Street). Go left onto Willow, cross over Rt 28 to end (Main St). Make right on Main Street. Go to end of Main you will be on a rotary (West End Rotary). Go 3/4 around Rotary, Heartbeat Quilts is in the red brick building "Wachovia", 765 Main St., take driveway next to Hyannis Package Store to rear entrance. There is plenty of parking.
