BLOCK OF THE MONTH programs

Save yourself time and keep your credit card on file with us. We ship UPS within the continental United States and USPS for international shipping. Massachusetts residents will be charged 5% sales tax. Thank you for your business.

The following items are only a tiny sampling of our blocks of the month. We will be adding new arrivals and older stock items as time permits.

General BOM rules:

1. Finishing fabrics (borders, sashing, backing) are offered at additional charge. Each BOM may have a set of finishing instructions and fabric. These will be offered to you at the beginning or the end of the series and prices will vary according to specific project . It is your responsibility to notify us if you DO NOT WANT the finishing kit for your particular BOM.

2. If you want to sign up for ANY Blocks-of-the-Month we need your credit card number and expiration date on file OR you can pay by check for the entire series in in advance. Shipping is $3.50/month by US Mail (overseas $8.50) unless you pick up your kits at Heartbeat Quilts in person each month. If you sign up for 2 Boms you pay only 1 shipping fee (except overseas)!!

3. All our BOM members are put on a schedule starting January, June or September. When you sign up we put you on the schedule closest to your sign up date. Consequently, sometimes you will possibly get your first few months at one time or maybe wait a month or two before you receive your first monthly kit. Call or ask questions if you are confused (I am).

	A Kaleidoscope of Kolor (96 x 100) Starting in June, this fabulous Block of the Month is done in a cream background with earth tones and leaves featuring Maywood's Shadowplay collection. It will be something you will look forward to receiving and sewing each month. 12 month series: 1st month (pattern #1 & fabric for the background, border and binding) $99.95 plus s&h $7.95. 	Butterfly Kisses (91 x 91) This Block of the Month features a beautiful quilt in warm and rich tones. Throughout the 10 month program, you will learn several different construction methods and tips to make precision piecing easier than ever. With a fabric free floating design border, you won’t want to miss this one. 10 months @$19.95 & s&h. (No finishing kit needed)
	Stars and Steppingstones (63.5 x 76.5 before borders) Scrappy stars with hundreds of different fabrics. Quilt includes a variety of star blocks set on point combined with a connector block. Each month receive 4 different blocks and setting triangles. This was the first block of the month that we offered 10 years ago and have brought back to you by popular demand. 	Planetary Party (54.5 x 84) Grab your spaceship and head to the Galaxy for this whimsical Planetary Party. These bright space creatures are appliquéd with machine pieced sashing and border. 10 months: 1st month (pattern & fabric for the appliquéd block, sashing, border and binding) $69.95 plus s&h $6.95. Months 2-10 @$19.95 plus s&h $3.50, No finishing kit needed.
	Sweet Tea (63 x 72) Each month receive a pattern for a lovely appliquéd Teapot with a machine pieced border. That makes this block of the month outstanding. The pink/green/blue color scheme evokes memories of grandma's kitchen and will add comfort and joy to your home. 6 months @ $19.95/mo. + s/h $3.50. (no finishing kit)
	Simple Pleasures (66 x 89)Machine pieced blocks and appliquéd hearts, flowers, birds and baskets make this twin size quilt by Beth Ferrier. Each month’s block teaches you a technique that builds on the previous months. The quilt comes alive as you piece together the blocks almost as you go – giving the incentive to continue on... 9 Months: 1^st month (starter kit and step #1) $63.95 (plus s/h $6.50) Steps #2- #9 $13.95 (Plus s/h $3.50)
	Pieceful Harbors (70.5 x 70.5) Machine pieced border and appliquéd lighthouses, sailboats, birds and shells make this twin quilt chockfull of seaside nostalgia. Nautical red, white and blue add pizzazz to the traditional patterns. 8 Months @ $19.95 (no finishing kit)
	Atlantis (60 x 75)A fabulous, striking quilt, easy to sew. A unique and different Block of the Month design, featuring the latest techniques in dimensional curved piecing. Dimensional curved piecing lets you do straight-line piecing with curved results. It is so easy it seems like magic. Folded inserts are caught in the seams, and after each block is finished the folded inserts are pulled back to reveal a curve, which is topstitched along its curved fold to secure it. Experience different techniques through different blocks. The easier blocks are at the beginning and get you familiar with this great new technique. Offered at $19.95/mo for 12 months. 	Country Village (76 x 96) Offered in soft country colors this large bed pieced quilt is made up of ten different rows plus a 2" sashing and a border. Several different techniques are used in this quilt and is offered as a BOM for 10 months with pattern and fabric @$24.95/mo. for 9 months and the house row costing $36.95. The final sashing and piano key border (not shown in this picture) is sent as the 11th month at $29.95. You may purchase the patterns only for $69.00.
	The Monster Quilt (64.5 x 76.5) A delightful, bright appliqué quilt (hand or machine) to charm all ages. The embroidery around the edges wins hearts: one starts out..."There are big scary Monsters under the bed, And every night they must be fed"... There's a great alternative children's poem too written by Sue Garman. Yours for $13.95/mo (9 month series), borders are 10th month ($49.95). 	Learn to Quilt 2 (56 x 70) An 8 month series with center star medallion and appliqué bunnies with basket of cherries. Choose your own cream background for bunnies and border fabric, all other fabric included @$16.95/mo. A pattern that is written with explicit directions for piecing, machine and hand appliqué, paper foundation piecing, pieced border and more. Most books don't contain the detailed information in this wonderful pattern.

	Learn to Quilt (42 x 54) An 8 month series country sampler designed as a novice’s quilt with very specific, excellent instruction. It can also be a quick quilt for more experienced quilters. There is a center appliqué medallion, on point, of a house, tree, stars and moon, with a red/white half-square triangle border, then simple blocks include 9-patch, flying geese, Ohio Star etc. Cost: $13.95/mo (month #8, borders cost $29.95)
